Why do people act like Rumble doesn't match up well against Jones?

People say that Rumble's power wouldn't matter because Jones would just use his reach and avoid it. But I mean, Jones looked very hittable and got hit repeatedly against Gus, DC, and OSP. He just got away with it because he has a good chin. But his chin ain't good enough to stop a Rumble punch. I actually think if one guy is to knock Jones out, it's Rumble. DC was landing uppercuts at will against Jones. If that was Rumble,,, Yeah. And of course I know Jones isn't stupid enough to brawl with Rumble like he did with DC, but my point being is that Jones's striking defense isn't all that great. A guy like Rumble only needs one or two good shots to be able to floor Jones.

I think if they ever do end up fighting, unless Jones uses that Greg Jackson hugging game plan, he's in a for a rough night.

True. But I think the Jones nuthuggers outweigh the people who think Rumble would KHTFO.

Maybe TS means people should see Rumble as the favorite against Jones.

Rumble could KO anybody. Jones is aware of this though and would fight defensively earlier on. Later in the fight I think he'd take Rumble down and submit him. Still an interesting match up though.

He has a shot with his power, but Jones holds the skill advantage in most every area. It's not hard to see why most people would favor the outcome to be in Jones favor. I say that as someone who has always rooted for Rumble.

I think the thought may be that NO ONE matches up well against Jones and Rumble is next in line so...

But I think he has as great of a shot as anyone. He won't be desperate to get inside on Jones, he can knock anyone out at anytime and he's a competent wrestler. Would bet the farm on Jones if I had to, but I wouldn't at all be surprised if Johnson caught him and finished him early in that fight.
