Why do old humble american fighters hate Conor?

A few reasons

1. He makes more money in one fight than they have in their whole careers. Jealousy.
2. A lot of those fighters are very emotional even though they act tough. Hendo showed this when he kept beating Bisping for example. Its obvious the trashtalk beforehand got to him. He probably would have been like Rousey if he lost that first fight. They see a guy like Conor who is purely about fighting and making money who says things that piss them off and they react emotionally instead of realising its to generate money. Money that they are jealous they wont earn.

This C level athlete fuck up the FW and LW division. Khabib vs Ferguson should be a title fight, not a fight used to soften the contenders for McGregor

I don't think they hate him, except maybe Hendo who looks to be a bit more against Conor.

It's the money. Those guys (and many others) were grinding in this sport for nothing. They kept it real for years...just grinding away.

In comes some relatively green guy who's making HUGE money. Probably money they never saw in their careers.

Right or wrong, it has to rustle some Jimmies.
 
Hendo, Mir, and Couture....humble? LOL!!! They're all pretty arrogant if you ask me.
 
Different time periods and different reasons for fighting. Conor is all about being brash and making money, these dudes were doing this before the money really rolled in.
 
They're not showmen and Conor is, there's not much else to it.

You've nailed it, Dublin. This is likely why anyone who doesn't know Conor McGregor personally hates him.

People who actually know him might have other reasons to dislike him---but for anyone who just knows his public persona, these are the reasons why they would dislike him.
