Why do HW Boxers have so much better conditioning than HW MMA fighters?

Was watching my boy Wilder tonight and he was still throwing crazy combinations in the 12th round. Meanwhile HW MMA fighters nowadays get gassed after 1 round of striking.

Is it USADA or is the difference in athleticism just that big?

Fight didn't even last to the 12th round, dumbshit.

I don’t believe USADA has ruined that sport yet.

A combination of MMA having shittier HW athletes, better drug testing, and grappling.

Because grappling

they train for 12 rounds, most MMA fighters train for 3 rounds. Then add in kicks and grappling to the equation which (both when giving and taking) drain you a lot more than punching.

Another thing I notice is MMA fighters seem a lot more tense on average, because there's a lot more to worry about like elbows, knees, leg kicks, flying attacks, subs, etc where as if you're a boxer with 10+oz gloves and your hands up, you can be a little more relaxed and confident you won't be KOed.

Boxing is like a marathon and MMA is like 3 sprints. Grappling and transitions is physically more exerting in a shorter amount of time than boxing. Boxing is a great sport because of the strategy that can be involved over the long haul. There are less variables than MMA but there is more depth to what they are doing and how they set it up. Different sports, different skill sets are necessary.

Also Wilder is more overrated than the K Bros in their primes. People thought HW was weak then, it's even worse now.

Grappling is ridiculously exhausting

Wrestling matches are only 7 minutes long for a reason

No USADA
HW boxers are generally lighter
No water weight cutting
Better conditioning/talent.
No grappling to throw your rhythm off.

Boxers tend to train 10-12 weeks for a fight

Most mma fighters train for 6 weeks

I watched the fight. He landed like 30 punches in the first 7-8 rounds. Also, 3 minute rounds, no kicks, no wrestling, little clinching. Totally different kind of cardio.

Gimme a break. We routinely see HWs gas in sloppy striking matches.

Ngannou dumped his adrenaline before the first serious TD attempt from Stipe.

Grappling and the clinch game is brutal on that cardio in ufc it’s harder to rest as in boxing too I feel plus the rounds are shorter and more time to recovers help too in ufc you go 15/25min fighting with 2/4min rest vs boxing where there 36mins fights and 11mins rest

Wilder would gas in one round with wrestling.

Most of the current UFC HW roster are part time fighters, its embarrassing and shameful. Someone made a list a while back, a lot of them are police officers and security guards and fireman and garage workers. Its shocking the UFC HW division in 2018, most of them are not full time fighters.

Another thing is HW boxing you can weigh whatever you like, there is no 265 cap, so they don't have to cut any water weight, guys like Big Baby Miller for example.

No USADA, but in saying that they were still gassed to death before USADA came too in UFC fights.

Training methods. Different sports.
