Why do fighters who finish their opponent early not fight more often?

I made the same question, very similar thread not so long ago. I didnt get a good answer

last minute replacement happen all the time, Conor defeated the best wrestler in his division with two weeks notice, with a whole training camp focused in a striker who uses muay thai
 
There's a lot more that goes into it than just the fight that you see. By taking that view they literally only put in 10 mins or so less work then someone who wins a decision or stoppage later in the fight.

Yes, and then he tried to fight Nate Diaz on short notice and got tooled. So his overconfidence in accepting short-notice fights cost him a lot.

he fought two divisions of weight above where he is the champion

athletes could fight much more often than they are doing right now, the problem is UFC has too many fighters, thats it
