why didn't UFC do Cain vs Werdum 2

Because thy are both awesome and nobody wants to see either lose. Also, Werdum would beat Cain again and Cain didn't want any of that on short notice.

Joe Silva sucks balls. That's why. Have you seen the matches lately? I'm back to hating on the UFC. The shit they put together lately is garbage. They were on a roll for a bit but its gone to shit.

 

I think they are keeping Cain to get the winner of Stipe vs Reem.

Why wasn't JDS in the plans ?

For some reason I'm not that interested in the Travis backup plan.. I think it's to soon to have him fight after the damage he took just recently at UFC 200 he needed more time and a win to have a real chance at the rematch.. I don't like Travis at all but this 1 month notice while you where beat down the way he was recently it's a no go move from my perspective.

Then again if Travis does pull it off he would be right back on track in the mix of things so I get it why he accepted so fast this would be a major shortcut and a revenge match up for him. He did say in the past he did a lot of mistakes and that's why he lost the decision to Werdum and that if they meet up again his confident he will put him away in max 2 rounds with all the experience and improvements he made.

 

You realize the fighter has to accept the fight as well right? They can't just drag him out in chains and make him do battle.

 

Considering Velasquez has typically fought once-per-year and put the entire heavyweight division on hold when he was the champion (and even after, since Werdum waited for him for the instant rematch, and Velasquez still had to pull out), it sure would've been nice if Velasquez filled in for Rothwell against Werdum at 203.

 

Cain got injured on his way to answer the phone when Joe Silva called so they had to call Travis instead .

 

They are still forming an excuse for when he loses at sea level?

 

Would have much preferred JDS.

 

Cain is probably not in the fighting shape. JDS is coming off a shoulder injury. UFC probably did not have too many options.
