Why didn't GSP fight Robbie Lawler?

I don't understand why GSP is just now coming back, just 4 days after Robbie loses his belt to Woodley. I'm not saying he ducked Robbie, I just legit do not understand.

T-Wood, while those first couple of rounds will be dangerous, he'll more than likely be tired before/after the 3rd round. And Rory made him look silly.

1. He has been negotiating with the UFC for a while now, he didn't just start negotiating on Sunday morning.
2. Robbie never called him out, Tyron did.
3. It's far from a done deal. I wouldn't be surprised if he came back to fight Alvarez or Bisping or just stayed retired.
4. Rory used to be in the title picture until very recently.

every month and every new champion we hear GSP is coming back.. to fight conor at 170, to fight bisping and now this.. and everytime this same thread pops up.. Why is GSP coming back now to fight so and so instead of fighting so and so

1- GSP is retired
2-If GSP comes back he can fight whoever he wants
3- if he did come back, why would people complain that he wants to get in their and fight champions and legit competition??? should he fight a 2-0 kick boxer?

GSP is never coming back unless it's to fight Conor, Anderson, or some other huge draw. Woodley is the opposite of a draw, as was Lawler.

Just guessing if he is coming back he's targeting UFC 205 @ MSG. My thought is he would fight whoever was Welterweight champ then. It's either that or aliens are controlling his brain!!

He was probably always waiting for the NY Card. You're speculating that he is ducking Robbie, however Tyron is a worse matchup for him than Robbie.
