You, yes YOU. What the fuck?

This movie had a buzz about it, dominantly because there was a book of the same name that the movie is copied from....however... The story is completely different.

So. Fucking. What.

I didnt read the book, but a friend did and he gave me the synopsis. When I heard about it, I thought...that? In a movie? Wouldnt that be dull? Armies had to relearn how to shoot to kill and blanket the world in order to kill all of them? Cool concept, ok, lets see!

That was not in the movie.
Instead, we got a similar 28 Days Later outbreak. See, I was FINE with this, because in 28 Days Later, we didnt see the world crumble. Here, we do! We get something new! Plus, the end had a unique and clever solution. Lets also not forget, you got Brad fucking Pitt at the helm!

Is it the PG-13 rating? Ok, ok ok. I hear ya, but this movie is still intense as all hell. Frankly, I didnt even notice it. Gore doesnt frighten me and swear words arent necessary. Believe me, I love saying FUCK, but for fucks sake, I dont need to hear it in my horror. Honestly, I had to look up the rating after seeing this movie for the 2nd time to make sure of the rating.

So whats not to like?

I did not hate World War Z. It is a bizarrely easy movie to watch over and over.

There was nothing about the movie that stood out or is memorable.

The book on the other hand is quite memorable. Pretty disturbing at times and frightening.

The interview for the book that Ian Punnet and Max Brooks did on Coast to Coast AM was fucking insane. They talked about the book as though it were real events and it was creepy as hell. Check it out if you're interested.

*looks like you have to be a c2c insider to access the interview. Unfortunate, because it was incredible.

If you'd read the book, you'd know why the film was hated

one of the worst Film adaptations of a novel ever...

this was worse than Congo.

PG 13,

the give the zombies a weakness (if you're sick they don't eat you)...the stupidest fucking weakness ever...not even creative.

what they should have done was this..

Have HBO or showtime adopt the book, and have each chapter a different episode.

They left out nearly every cool aspect of the book.

Those who like this film probably thought Transformers was a "sci fi epic"

I really dislike the actress that played Brad's wife. Didn't like her in The Killing and I've recently watched Big Love, and didn't like her in that either.

Sorry to be all Hollywood and all that but she simply wasn't a good fit looks wise for Brad. It wasn't believable to me in the slightest.

I mean seriously....

the stupid "plot twist" in how to make yourself invinsible to Zombies??

I mean c'mon...how can anyone who liked this movie, appreciate that aspect?

I mean, what level of sick do you have to be?

what if you have a common cold?

HIV?

Herpes?

TB?

lazy writing...lazy acting..

seriously, anyone who liked this film, go fu*k yourself.

Hate how the Indian scientist just died so dumb super racist.

what's to fucking hate. the film is great - great pacing, great directing and really crisp editing. it's entertaining as all fuck.

book nerds and forum trolls can eat dogshit.

Not subtle portrayal of the fall of Israel from the hands of savages.

A movie couldn't possibly do the book justice. It needs to be a miniseries on AMC or HBO.

Movie had nothing to do with the book. The book was just a bunch of individual stories about the zombie apocalypse.
The movie was Unoriginal but strangely satisfying

I loved it. Saw it when it came out in the theater, then recently rewatched it a few months ago. Great movie.

Fun Fact: I once randomly talked with Bas Rutten (it was right after this came out) and we talked about how awesome this movie was & shared what our favorite scenes were

Congo was much worse. They destroyed one of my favorite fiction novels. At least brad Pitt is in this
