Why did GSP tap so fast against Matt Hughes?

    It looked like he tapped when Hughes grabbed his arm and didn't even have it locked in place, there was also 1 second left and he didn't even hold out a few seconds. Was GSP a heartlet? He always seemed like a mentally tough guy to me

    It was 100 years ago and he didnt have a strong BJJ game yet? Beat the brakes off hughes twice more, so I dont think he was too shook.

    I’d say he was a smart fighter but I don’t know if I’d characterize him as mentally tough.

    Guess GSP has working pain receptors. Not a good thing if you wanna become a fighter, he won't get far in sport of MMA with pain receptors

    Its still hard to snap the arm, dan hardy said thats why he held out in the arm bar against gsp because how hard it is to snap the arm

    His arm was definitely hyperextended.

    He probably didn’t realize there was only 1 second left. He wasn’t watching it on TV with a timer in the corner
