Why did Dana White get banned from the Palms?

counting cards is not difficult. at all.

Tell me how it works then.

I'll be waiting.

LOL at people who think it's possible to count cards in this day and age. With 6 decks mixed into each other? Who do you guys think Dana is, rain man?

Casinos have much more of an interest in making games impossible to cheat at than banning good players. That being said any high stakes guy can clear people out pretty quickly if he goes on a streak so maybe that was it.

They're single deck tables in every casino. Most let you hold the cards so it's hard to see the other players hands though, at least here. I'm positive they're single deck tables everywhere though.

He got banned because of the huge amount of money he's gambling/winning.
He can fuck the casinos for a week if he makes off with a huge amount. I'm from Reno Nevada, which is a little ghetto Vegas. I heard from a guy who's in the top levels of management in one casino here that they need to make 200k a day just to break even on overhead. This casino is nothing like the Palms.

It has nothing to do with him being an asshole. I actually heard he's a nice guy and tips VERY WELL, to the point the cocktail waitresses and the dealers get upset when their casinos ban him because they make ridiculous amounts of tips off him.

It has everything to do with the ridiculous amount of money he bets. The casino knows they win over time, but with the variance of gambling they prefer to take bets they can handle losing if they lose. It fucks up everything if they lose a huge amount. It's a bankroll variance thing, most knowledgeable bettors/texas holdem players know what I'm talking about. It's how most people take care of their bankroll when they bet/gamble. They know it's gambling at the end of the day and people get lucky so they must be prepared to be on the unlucky side even if the odds are on their side so they don't bust their bankroll over one hand.

Edit: I really doubt he counts cards, word would get around and he wouldn't be allowed in any casino. Plus I doubt Dana is that quick. Just casinos protecting their bankrolls.

This is the correct answer, everyone can move along now. Mind boggling some people would even need to ask "why did he get banned from a casino" while in the video he probably walked away with 500k in a couple hours work.

WRONG. I've played more blackjack and anything gambling related in my 29years than you will in your entire life (fact, not trying to one up you). Trust me when I say if counting cards was "easy" casinos would not be in business. I take it you believe everything you see in movies.

Yes, single deck is everywhere but you have to cut the deck of course. Playing on a table with others beside you you're lucky to even get 3 hands out of the single deck before they shuffle again thus making it IMPOSSIBLE to count cards.

Even single handed your lucky to get 6-7 hands in before a new deck comes into play.

Counting cards really, is only possible in a double deck shoot.

um, fact, you dont know who anyone on the web is, so telling me you are better is kinda stupid. counting cards is easy to do, it is hard to get away with at a casino.

what movies are you watching that say it is easy? the one that says you have to be a savant, or the one that says you have to be an engineer from MIT

ill requote with a link when I am not on my cell. its super easy to do, but casinos can tell when you are doing it. which is why tons of retards get banned for trying.

There was a thread earlier and I believe Dana claimed the reason was because he was winning too much money.

That is the reason. Highrollers that win too often and show up too often are "asked" to not show up anymore. Vegas is built on losers, and winners are asked to either stop gambling or to start working FOR the casinos.

He likely utilized either a statistical cheat on a particular game, or just did no-limit and utilized a doubling system. Most people can't used the simple doubling due to limits.

Makes sense. So you need enough decks so you can have a good amount of hands, but not too many decks as it makes card counting less effective? Correct me If I'm wrong.

I love blackjack but I've never tried to count cards. I just know the bare minimum about it. Just drives me crazy how so many people claim they can counts cards when it obvious they are full of BS. Cracks me up when they claim to count cards, and "know what card comes next." Hilarious.

I asked you, not a video. If it's easy I would think you would know how, and could be able to type it out on here. If it's as easy as you say it is, you should be able just to tell me without a video.

I would also like in on this. Sherdog, the mother-lode awaits. It almost sounds too good to be true.

They told him several times:

"Dana, you seem to have a douche bag with a camcorder hovering around you 24/7, we don't mind you filming the casino but could you refrain from bringing him into the mens toilet when you go to take a shit, it's putting the other gamblers off".

Pretty much man yes. Blackjack is a game of consistency and longevity depending on how much you want to win. Knowing the basic rules( or moves to make) and acting on them in a consistent manner is the way to win large sums but over an extended period of time. For example..if your going to hit on a 16 when the dealer shows a face card it is important to hit that 16 EVERYTIME not just pick and choose when to hit the 16 (this also includes wager amount) Can't tell you how many times I've seen someone win 3 hands of blackjack in a row then go all in and lose everything. Of course there is a lot more involved but again being consistant in the way one plays is most important.

Black jack in a sense is a lot like sportsbetting in the fact that if you can win 55% of each bet made over a long period of time you will make money. It's not about being perfect but just being slightly better than average.

im no grou... we, teaching expert, but ill explain anyway. give 1 point for cards under 7, take 1 point for cards over 9. lower your number, better your chances to win. easy. wouldnt try it at a casino. counting is easy, tricking a casino is much harder

Dana is filthy rich, knows how to gamble and quits while he's ahead which is a disaster for casinos.

Casinos DO like rich people playing obviously but most of them lose a lot and if they're winning they stay way too long and lose back a lot.

That part where he is being a passive aggressive bitch to his assistant over a missing toiletries bag... holy shit the ego on the guy.
