He was on a tear before he lost to now LHW Champ Jan Blachowicz. Appearantly he had multiple fights remaining on his contract but wanted to move to Bellator.

He was ranked top 10 (maybe even 5?) but decided to take what seems to be a step back moving to the smaller organisation.

    What happened here?

to get paid. Daniel Cormier advised him to. ufc was more than glad to release him after his accident when he suggested he wasn't cleared properly by the doctor which caused him to collapse when hiking

basically ufc saw him as a liability so they cut bait.

I post like 1 thread every 2-3 weeks, good but a little surprising to see I've actually got fanboys on here

He probably knew he had a better chance of winning the Bellator belt than he would the UFC to be honest. That and the sponsorship money. It's a good move for Corey personally, I think he'd be able to beat Bader.

EDIT. Didn't know Bader isn't champ anymore.

Your desperation thread to make Masvidal look good sure got my attention with cringe. Wasn't 3 weeks before this one either. Have a nice one bud

It's more like Bellator is willing to pay more for the UFC's leftovers. If someone leaves the UFC it's not because the UFC couldn't match them it's because it's not worth it to them. Bellator is going to hype up Corey Anderson because he's a big asset for them and title challenger. To the UFC Anderson is a gatekeeper who gets starched anytime he sniffs a title shot. That and the fact that his fights are usually boring doesn't help

corey anderson was deluded though. He wasn't finishing guys. He wasn't doing much. why should he get a title shot over someone like reyes at the time? or any exciting fighter?

well you know the answer to that question sherbruh: everybody thinks they're special.
Now i think about it, most of Roufusport's fighters are delusional...Woodley, Askren, Anderson, Barber

I made a Masvidal thread at the start of July, which is 4 months ago.

I barely remember what I had for dinner three days ago, so you having recollection of this shows how invested you are in strangers on the internet, which I think is pretty cute.

Would you like an autograph? I’d be happy to serve my fans.

He wasn't happy with how he was being treated in the UFC and the UFC don't like him because he's boring. Bellator spotted an opportunity to get someone who's top 10 and has a bit of a name who the UFC don't care about keeping and took it.

Basically the same thing that happened with Phil Davis years ago.

Because they paid more. He is also allowed to have sponsors in the cage, so on top of higher salary, that means even more money.
    Happens quite often.

    Jan really is that dude.

So far, Cornier and Jones have declined to fight him.
