You can easily break your hands on someone skull.
The men at 125 are more evenly matched and there aren't any standout strikers. Shevchenko in comparison is much physically stronger than the other females in the division and has much more muay thai experience, you'd think she could light some girls up. Rose as a comparison has way less striking experience and is weaker physically but she can hurt other women with her hands. I think it has to do with schevchenko training and her approachMost women can't. It's very difficult for women, especially women her size, to develop enough power combined with the right timing to actually KO someone with their hands. Hell, most guys 125 don't rock dudes either.
Looks fast, powerful, and great technique. What's she missing, is it accuracy, range, timing what?
Because he didn't train to throw a punch until he was a grown man but also he isn't particularly powerful or fast with his hands. No one is watching jon jones pad work and thinking "oh shit that guys a monster"Why can't Jon Jones ever hurt anyone with his hands?
That's because Val tended to cheat. Those were non-pro fights and she wasn't allowed to sweep/throw but did it consistently including to Joanna. It took years but eventually a group of officials finally got fed up with her and kicked her out of the weight class. They should have banned her entirely. Joanna has a more detailed account of it in her book which hopefully she will publish in English if she wins the belt. Needless to say if people think Joanna, Maycee or anybody else in WMMA in the UFC is cringe when they lose ... it does not compare to Val. It was worse than when that one time Khabib lost in a competition and seemed to have a meltdown.

Val was twice as fast and seemed to be an entire weight class heavier strength wise.
She's very bouncy on her feet, makes it very hard to sit down on your punches and generate power. She kinda reminds me of Pacquiao but he was an anomaly in that he could still drop people without setting his feet and from awkward anglesShe doesn't always commit to her striking power wise, she would rather keep control and distance and land whenever she wants...
Im sure if she committed to her strikes power wise she'd drop some girls
She never actually rocked her did she? And didn't she do most of the damage after taking her downShe hurt that chick from Brazil who was making her debut. Not that it means much.
This guy gets it.I don't think I've ever seen her plant her feet and swing. She's always on her toes and moving.
Many of the best ko artists were counter punchers. Anderson Silva was a counter puncherCounter striker is the key reason.
