What's the point?

Do they know they'll get KO'd in under a minute so in a way, it's an easy fight for them? No need to train, just show up, get KO'd, collect paycheck.

Why did Sean McCorkle take fights against fighters with winning records?

Seems like as good a reason as any.

Also, as the ancient Chines saying goes: 文无第一, 武无第二 - intellectual dweebs never think they're good enough, while brutes always think they're better than everyone.

Nobody expects them to win so the loss doesn't really count. They still get publicity and there is a slim chance they could win

i agree
there is a male opponent ufc could sign for cyborg
fallon fox

Unless blatant clickbait, you are missing a very obvious point. $. There are very few $ fights in WMMA. With RR on the shelf shadow-boxing and hitting her head with her shoulder in the process, there is literally one fight to take.

This. I made a fucking thread about it (went to wasteland) that UFC should organize Cris Cyborg vs a lower ranked lighter weight male opponent to be more competitive. I can bet you that even though they might lose but they will put up a better and close fight than cans that she's fighting.

Cyborg vs CM Punk.

Book it.

Im taking Cyborg.

They get more press and money than usual; the fights are usually finished pretty fast; it's MMA and everybody has a chance.

You lose, no one blames you or thinks any worse of you. You're brave just for getting in there.
You win you're catapulted into stardom/hype/potential title shot.

Also competitive people like to test themselves.

I don't see how she will keep fighting in the UFC anyways, her weight class isn't even there. There is only so much catchweight fight they can do.

they hope that cyborg will be caught by usada and the ko win will turn into a NC.
