Why are threads disappearing?

Title says it all. Threads are disappearing from the HW forum. Relevant threads that don't have stickys or new topics. I posted a thread about bonuses that disappeared. Seems like half the threads I click on are "invalid". What's going on?

There was definitely no other thread on it and no sticky. It was about the bonuses issued and it was posted immediately after they were announced.
