I like Ishii and his style, but tastes differ. He is actually a successful and good fighter, all his losses are to tough opponents and he has decent wins.

I agree, he is not a can but he isn't a solid fighter either. He was very hyped in Japan when IGF was feeding him with a lot of vets who can fight anymore. I think he would loss against Mo, Phil, McGeary, Vassell, Carmont, Lins, Sakara, Sonnen, Wand and maybe Ortiz too

Guys like Karo and Stun gun use their judo extremely well in mma. Ishii kind of made the decision to be K1 Ishii which makes no sense. His gold medal will make him somewhat of a draw but I wish he would have stuck to what he knows...
