Why are some of you guys so hard on Holly Holm?

Acclimating or padding her record?

Look at R3's opponent's cumulative record: 91 -33

She's been fighting the best available since the beginning.

I believe she would because I think the rest of the division kind of sucks for the most part. I'm not gonna pretend like there are a ton of world beaters in the UFC just because people here want to believe it.
 
Because all you ever hear from on Sherdog are the weird over the top nuthuggers who go all spastic when someone even mentions a possible opponent for Rousey.

Even if you think they suck how do you know Holly doesn't suck just as bad or worse? She hasn't proven anything against people on their level of 'suck', but only against fighters on an even lower level.

If being impressive against weak comp meant all that Erick Silva would still be God.

not being hard on her, just realistic that she has no chance unless she has epic td defense, her takedown defense is good but she has been taken down by some low tier fighters, she can improve and make it a fight maybe

She is good enough to use footwork, establish a jab and keep Rousey away from her and force her into a striking match. Rousey doesn't explode with double leg takedowns and for that reason, Holm move without fear of leg attacks.

Obviously, she's a huge underdog and she'll probably lose, but she's much better than other women in the UFC. She could destroy the division outside of Rousey and I think she could at least provide Rousey a different type of fight.

Who said she would do worse than Alexis Davis?

I truly believe she would do much better than Alexis Davis, some 18-22 seconds approximately.
 
The idea that people on this forum are being hard on Holly Holm is beyond laughable. People are talking about her as a potential title challenger when she has all the MMA accomplishments of Jason Reinhardt.

All this Holy talk is driving me insane. She hasnt beaten any quality opponents. Not sure how her bandwagon took off so fast.

This. Absolutely this. While Holly is feeling out her jab, Ronda will already be grabbing Holly, tossing her on her head, and getting ready to hyperextend that elbow. That`s not to say that Holly won`t have some success against other BWs; over all she`ll make the division a little deeper...but she brings even less to the table than Davis as far as ways to stop R3.

She was love before because she was argued to be a top MMA fighter based entirely around her boxing career and an example of a top fighter the UFC wouldn't sign.

Now that she is actually signed with them she is just a boxer with no grappling that people will say was fed to the wolves by the UFC.
 
Holly is not stupid. She quit boxing when better opponents showed up, And went into a weak Wmma division. She will be the only test Rousey will have. But isn't Rousey much bigger?
 
Ronda will make her look like an amateur. Holly seems pretty cool though.
 
I hope the fight stays standing so we can see How well Ronda fares against an actual boxer. Holly has good movement and speed. But when Ronda grabs her it is likely over.
