I think Nate could've made 155. I think he chose not to in order to get more training/sparring time in and less time cutting weight. He somewhat hinted at that at the presser by saying he has sparred this month or something to the like. Conor jumped on it as Nate making an excuse. I could also see McGregor wanting 170 to have a foot in the door with a win and no damage done at LW with a loss.
