This doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Has McGregor perhaps overeaten on steaks and bulked up too much?

Or is Dana gonna push his favoritism to absurd levels and soon offer McGregor an undeserved tittle shot at WW too?

Because Conor wants Nate to get comfortable.

In reality it's Conor is planting the seeds for his future bid at the WW belt. If he beats Nate, he could spin the narrative into "I just beat an WW, give me that WW bum belt".

^ That's so nice of him.

It seems McGregor is trying to sit on three chairs. I can see him overextending, falling and breaking his neck.

It's at WW because Nate doesn't have enough time to make 155.

Because if he loses to anyone at 155 the RDA fight is dead. This way, if Nate pulls off the upset, they can blame it on the fight being contested at ww and title unification at lw remains an option.

So if Conor wins, it sets up Lawler vs. McGregor at UFC 200

Nate cannot make 155 this quickly, he is in shape but not in fight shape.
Furthermore a loss at 170 is inconsequential, there is very little on the line.

I thought the answer to this was pretty obvious.

Because how could the UFC (Conor) refuse Cerrone, someone that could make that weight, the fight... then stall and stutter when Nate complained and struggled to make the weight for 155lbs?

They spoke about it yesterday at the press
conference. Nate wouldn't go below 170.
    It's not a conspiracy.

Nate clearly said at the press conference he could make 155. Just cause Conor says it doesn't make it true.

I do think if Nate tried to make 155 he'd come in over the limit.

Well he can see you while he's the most famous mixed martial artist in the world and in the fast lane for #1 P4P. Don't worry, he'll be okay. And I'm not even a fan. I want Diaz to win.

Bro this has to do with Nate. He was ready obviously to make 155. But I think Diaz played the game a bit and asked for heavier weight. I mean less then 2 weeks. Sounds like both won't have to cut weight.

And 170 sounds cool anyways. Instead of 165 or 160.

    Win/win for everyone especially Diaz.
