Why are leftist Jews so conservative when it comes to Israel ?

Leftists progressives like Dershowitz constantly promote progressive policy here in the US like compassionate immigration, diversity of cultures, beliefs, and religion. But when it comes to Israel, he and others are hawkish; demanding a strong military, harshly enforced borders, propagation of nationalism, and a high sense of religious collectivism.

This is the same for most leftists Jews worldwide where they promote liberalism at home, but push for strong conservative nationalism for Israel. Does anyone else not see the tactic at play here ? This is nothing new. The Khazar bolshevik Jews of Russia created socialism to destroy Russian nationalism in order to control the nation with an iron clad fist, but were more than willing to promote their own into business and media posts.

The agenda is to push an anti-in group mentality for the non-Jewish population, but being highly pro-in group for themselves.

This is not a conspiracy, it is out there front and center. Kevin McDonald wrote a fantastic book called The Culture of Critique: An Evolutionary Analysis of Jewish Involvement in Twentieth-Century Intellectual and Political Movements. I recommend the read.

The problem isn't patriotic, practicing Jews. The problem is bolshevik minded zionists who still are practicing this destructive policy.

Jews aren't exactly a monolithic group. There are a lot of left wing Jews who are highly critical of Israel. And then you've got major Jewish political donors on BOTH sides who tend to be ardent Zionists and more right wing, even if they're donating to Democrats. These are essentially the same type of Jews that are highly influential in the media, although those Jews tend to lean to the left more, especially the ones in Hollywood. So basically you're describing different types of Jews who aren't even on the same page. There are Jewish country clubs where the ones who are billionaires won't even acknowledge the ones who are "merely" worth hundreds of millions. When billionaire Carl Shapiro, Bernie Madoff's biggest individual investor, had a fellow country club member try to commiserate with him after the crash, Shapiro looked at him and just said "I'm trying to eat my lunch" and then just went back to eating and ignored him. Jews like that don't give a shit about what 99.99% of other Jews think, they only care about their own insular interests. OTOH, there are WASP country clubs that won't let Jews become members and even bringing one as a guest can cause a scandal. It's more about money and elitism than about any particular ethnic group. A lot of this Jewish greed and snobbishness is sort of a reaction to WASPS being the same way when Jews weren't as wealthy and powerful as they are now. It's sort of like social justice warriors on the left spurring on the alt-right.
