it seems like Brunson wasn't even trying to win. Similar to the DC fight it's like they were both holding back. Is it because they don't want to be That guy that ktfo Anderson at his old age?

Would you wanna be known as the guy who killed the geriatric? ;)

Yes, they both looked terrible and if they fought any good they would probably dominate the fights. Weird shit going on.

Does landing punches on Anderson Silva look easy to you?

They're just being respectful of Anderson's skills.
He's called a GOAT by everyone for a reason.
No way you're not gonna get any nerves entering despite he's pretty old.

Brunson's performance could have been because he didn't want a repeat of the Whittaker loss. For DC it was just the way Anderson was wrapping up DC on the ground that DC couldn't do anything. DC and several others talked about the kind of guard Anderson employed and said that was the reason DC couldn't get much offense, it was an extremely effective defensive/stall guard because Anderson knew there was no way he could do anything against DC off his back

Nobody wants to chase after him throwing shots, they've all seen the highlights of Silva vs Forrest.

Brunson was being tentative because Anderson landed some pretty hard shots on him in the first round. I didn't think he was going easy on him--he was definitely trying to do damage in the clinch.

Nobody wants to lead. If you lead with Anderson your gonna get KTFO.

I'm pretty sure if Anderson let me hit him in the clinch like that I would sleep him

GTFO.

The GOAT my be 41 , but he's still dangerous!!!

Brunson was one punch away from getting his second embarrassing KO in a row and he knew it.

The Spider still got half the middleweight division spun up in his web.
