Feminist talk about a lack of equality and opportunity for women in our Patriarchy (which is natural and necessary for survival, btw), but I don't see any of these screaming harpies on the huff post or jezebel advocating for women to be forced to register for the draft as all men have to.

I'm curious why feminists only want the good parts of equality ? Is it because deep down feminism has nothing to do with equality but is really about taking advantage of the intelligence, good will, and resources that men provide them ? Fuck feminism and the idiots who defend it.

Same reason everyone only wants the good part of everything.

I can only take a wild guess, but feminists are probably sick of the way the patriarchy is constantly sending young men to die for pointless profiteering wars and would like to get us out of this retarded war business altogether. So there's no eagerness to add bodies to the pile the patriarchal oligarchs are piling up.

Being a man in today's society is like buying a bag of Oreo cookies - and when you get it home and open the package - inside, it's all just the creamy white stuff.

Do they? The only military topics I generally hear discussed in the feminist circles I move in are about rape and sexual harassment therein. Even if some feminists do bring up that topic from time to time it's certainly not "the same ones"; that's a baseless assertion.

I don't see a draft in the foreseeable future, but you're absolutely right TS. Feminism aside there are a lot of roles to fill in the Military and women are every bit as capable as men in most of those roles. They should have to register for selective service and should be pushing for it if they are truly honorable about their cause.

Nope. The whole complaining about everything and whining about equality to get what they want seems to be working pretty well. I get you want them to be rational human beings but why would they?

My point is that if feminism is about the advancement of women then getting the impoverished young members of that gender forced off to die over crude oil would hardly serve that agenda, would it?

That's really all there is to it.
But many women who care about this sort of thing will clamor for inclusion in the draft, too.

Only an equality ideologue would shoot themselves in the foot like that. It could also cause a great deal of dysfunction in the military and in society if that actually happened.

the fact that women arent required to register still has no bearing on a man's life though. its not even unfair, considering we dont have a mandatory military draft and probably never will ever again. i guess if hypothetically we do, shit like this might actually matter.

It matters because men have to register and women are not.

Which was in fact legal because they were not allowed in combat roles.

Now they are they need to be required to register or it done away with totally.

Die over crude oil? Fracking work at those overly-abundant shale oil fields in the States isn't THAT dangerous!

you're missing the larger point. in the current situation theres no inequality regarding the selective service. if women were required to register, everything would still be exactly the same. the change would be purely symbolic
