That's what they're doing with McGregor now, living vicariously through him. You'll notice they never come up with their own arguments. They will quote McGregor without fail. That is the only thing they know. They memorize whatever he says and then regurgitate it and whenever he is in front of a camera, they make sure to view it sixty times so that they can repeat that phrase if the situation calls for it.

Insecurity could be claimed for any "hater" as well, of which Conor has many. Why are they so insecure?

There are some posters who have been here a while that like Connie but for the most part, when you see a thread started saying how he's one of the best of all time...

what I do after reading something like that is look straight at the persons join date and it's usually around Dec. 2015.
 
Many of the fans who were introduced to MMA through Conor seem to live vicariously through him and have no other connection to MMA.

I think it is because he is winning, but he has never been in a real war.
IMHO they will only be more secure once Conor fights 4-5 rounds and comes on top.

Yes, he beat Aldo. But no one knows if that punch didn't land, how the fight would go.
I am not saying he would not win, but again, no one knows for sure.
Let him win a war (Lawler style), and then his fans (and haters) will have more to base their love (or hate) on.
