i worked out last thursday i did biceps and forearms. And im still in pain. i still feel sore. what doess this mean? is it good or bad? it was a pretty intense workout. I have a set schedule workout routine for the week. your take on why im hurting and what i should do?

well you might have strained the muscle if it is an intense pain but odds are you just had a tough workout. You need to improve your diet so that your body will heal faster. Eat some protien an hour before working out and more protien with some carbs right after.

Wrong forum, really. Go check the "Strength & Power" forum, though I recomend very strongly that you read the FAQ and think carefully before posting about your "biceps and forearms" workout.

One of two things could be happening here: either you've managed to injure yourself, or you're just suffering delayed onset muscle soreness like anyone else. If it's actual pain you're feeling, take it easy, rest, heal, and figure out what the hell you did wrong. If it's soreness, then some light, long duration cardio to get the blood pumping through the affected muscles is going to help, both now and as a regular cool down after lifting in the future. Other folks will probably recommend hot/cold contrast showers, massive protein dosing, and other things as DOMS cures, but you can read about them and decide for yourself after reading the S&P FAQ.

It's your penance for doing a workout that only consist of bicep and forearm training.

In reality, it

You're fine, it happens when you work hard. Sometimes when I squat I'm sore for the next 3-4 days, granted I'll be running or training a few of those days.

You seriously need to go check out the S&P FAQ before heading back to the gym.

*struggles to fight urge to question sexuality of OP*

Its probably DOMS

*goes and punches wall*

Any program that has an entire day devoted to biceps and forearms is not decent.

That was so politically correct, I'm not sure if I should be impressed or disgusted. You're a better man than me, Monger.

Im holdin back the bicep and forearm comments...*holds hand shaking...* saved by postin in the diet forum...

but yeah man you probally overoaded just a bit. lifted to failure? that could be it.

Hey guys, what's up? I just stopped by the D&S to check my Cissus thread and...

oh....

*squints eyes*

DOMS from bicep and forearm day? shouldn't it be "bicept"?.....

*NURFF!!!*

*runs back to S&P to wait*

read the FAQ in D&S as well. post up what you want (goals) and what you'll do to get there. in this forum, that would be what you think is a good diet/nutrition plan. once you do that, it'll lead to more "discussion" and less "instruction". meaning, you'll learn something.

maybe.

That's normal. I wouldn't worry about it, I'm sure all of us at one point or another pulled our vagina also. What you want to do is make sure you take care of your vag, keep it clean and trimmed, and feed it sausage daily.

did u maybe hit a different area of the muscle u usually dont? ie. new excercise?

Either you worked out too hard or you diet is lacking to rebuild tissue damage.

If you are on a set schedule, don't workout your muscles if they are still sore. Its counter-productive. They only way your muscles are going to grow is to give them time to repair.
