I omitted NHL in the thread title because I don't follow hockey closely enough to know who the supposed great up and comers were/are to know who fizzled. feel free to ad hockey fails if you know'em.
NFL. Is actually hard to pick the top bust of all time. As a Gen X'er I'd have to go with Andre Ware. I remember he was this all world phenom that my Lions drafted in the 1st rd .I don't think he ever threw a TD in the NFL.
NBA. Another one that's hard to pick. there's been so many flops. for my money I'd have to go with Sebastian Telfair. he had jay z at his HS games. People saying he was going to bigger than Lebron James. I think he's playing in kazakstan now.
MLB. Baseball isn't a sport I follow too closely. but with the success of my Tigers in recent years I've tried too keep more abreast. I'll get flamed from the guys on here that know baseball. but it seems that in recent memory all of the Chicago Cubs pitchers have been highly touted busts. Jeff Samardja, Kerry Wood, Mark Prior, all have seem to under achieve.
