This is extremely subjective and I’m sure you’ll get a ton of different answers depending on people’s favorite styles to watch. I’m going to go away from the great champions here and say Emmanuel Augustus. I was 16 or 17 and watched him lose a decision in Baltimore in the mid-1990s when he was just starting and was hooked. He wasn’t great/on the level of a lot of boxers who will be named here, but every time he fought, win or lose, he was damn entertaining and had the aura of “what is this dude going to do next?”

Lol remember they put him in the Fight Night game? It says something that they put a career journeyman in it.

I remember watching him get hosed out of a decision against Courtney Burton when this happened lol, per Wikipedia:

“Augustus penalized one point in 8th for spinning himself out of a clinch.”

Matthew Saad Muhammad was in a bunch of great bouts. Richie Kates, Yaqui Lopez I & II, Marvin Johnson I & II, John Conteh I are all classics and many of the others were pretty good (ie Eddie Mustafa Muhammad, Conteh II, Mwale, the Parlov fights, Vonzell Johnson, etc).

Naz had some stinkers tbh. He had a lot of great fights, but his style was weird enough that if he didn't engage much it could be a boring fight.

By no means the most, but always loved watching Provodnikov fight.

GGG was pretty good entertainment for 4-5 years. After Canelo 2 he fell off and has done nothing but fight part-time fighters. From Rosado to Canelo 2 he was must see though

Depends what you are looking for. Floyd can put some people to sleep while others seem to enjoy it.

Arturo Gatti was IN the ring, but quiet outside of it.

This is gonna be a subjective chat. Can't please everybody

Recent fighters, Manny is the first name that sprigs to mind. I’d say Amir Khan as well. His delicate chin and lack of defence always made for exciting fights.

The Drunken Master! He's always a fun guy to watch and he has an amazing story in and outside of the ring, surviving that gunshot to the fucking dome like a G.

All time? Interesting...I don't know if he's all time but Wilfredo Gomez had some bangers. I'm trying to think of a guy who wasn't necessarily in all wars everytime out but who was never the reason a fight was a stinker.

Man, Pac's gotta be up there. GGG and Matthysse were always pretty fun. As mentioned Provodnikov. I was lucky to be at Matty/Prov and that crowd wasn't the biggest but it was the most electric energy I've every felt being to a fight live (admittedly haven't been to a bunch of prizefights tbh but from what I have been to it was the best).

Rocky always brought it. It's an interesting question, esp wording it "entertaining" b/c that can be interpreted in a cpl different ways. Floy always entertained me even if he wasn't in a bunch of firefights, for instance. Anyways that's what I got off the top of my head.

It's psychological... You put money on a boring NBA game, it gets astronomically more thrilling.
You watch your father or son in a boxing match, you're extremely tensed up while others in the audience are getting bored to death at the same time.

Wladimir Klitschko vs. Sultan Ibragimov... One of the worst world championship fights in pro boxing history. But did Ibragimov's family find it terrible when watching it live?
