Any mention of who Gus will be fighting next if not Bones? Who do you think he should fight?

Davis is the only fight that makes sense IMO

Maybe they'll give him Lil Nog

Lil Nog seems like a nice rebound fight (Evans learned that).

a rematch with Phil would be cool eventhough Davis is on a winning streak.

Do you really think the UFC would put Gus against a high risk opponent like Davis? It sounds like a lose/lose for the UFC to make that fight because either we don't get the Bones rematch, or Davis has to get back in line for a title shot.

    Little Nog, Davis, or Henderson.

Davis is probably out seeing as they train together.

Little Nog is the most likely. Seeing that Hendo is on a two fight losing streak.

Everybody else is either booked or headed to middleweight.

Though he could be a late replacement.

Lightheavy looking shallow since Jon took over.

Sonnen talked his way into the top ten, and he is fighting Rashad who is considering a drop to middle.

Little Nog is only on a two fight win streak. His best win coming from a split decision to Rashad.

Henderson is only in the top ten because he put on an exciting fight with Shogun. Though beating Fedor before that was impressive, retrospect makes the accomplishment less impressive.

Gegard and Machida are pretty legit, though they both might be heading to middle. And Gegard's ranking is based more on speculation than results.

Davis isn't doing bad for himself, though his most notable win is a highly controversial decision against Machida. And before that he wasn't against the most notable group.

Glover, well, I don't think he deserves his number one contender status. Five wins in a row is impressive, but none of those were ranked. He deserves top ten status, but not top five.

Bader is battling irrelevancy, and he was picked to be the next big thing at LHW back a few years ago.

Shogun, well, Shogun fell apart. Nothing but retirement or "fun" fights left from here on out the way he is looking.

The only person of any real consequence appears to be Gus. I don't know if I would take any of those fighters out of the top ten, but I would rearrange it.

Thiago Silva after Hammil. Remember where you read it guys. I have been thinking on it all day. I think that is who it will be... or Little Nog.

He all ready fought and defeated Thiago.

Thiago will be top ten if he can string together two more wins. But there is no need for a rematch.

Matt Hammil is coming out of retirement to be put directly back into retirement? *sigh* Yeah Thiago Silva matchup sounds great for Gus.

I know this isn't popular opinion, but I like the fact that there won't be an immediate rematch.

It opens up a lot of financial potential for the UFC. Give them both a fight in the meantime, and hype the hell out of a rematch.

Plus, give the fighters time to simmer, and think about that fight. You know it is going to come up in nearly every interview or media function they participate in. Get a little bit of hunger going for both fighters.

A little bit of back and forth has started. Jones with his normally strange comments about only being 70% so Gus doesn't deserve a rematch. And Gus posting a picture of him in a "Don't Be Scared, Homie" T-shirt.

I don't think we will see Sonnen levels of trash talk, but a little bit of hate every now and again.

Plus, we the fans get plenty of time to discuss, debate, and salivate over the potential match up.

And of course, the possibility of them both improving by leaps and bounds in what I will predict will be about 12 months. Though they could rematch as soon as 8.

It wasn't a robbery in my opinion. It was close, don't let anybody tell you different, but it wasn't a robbery.
