Who's more dominant in their respective divisions: Weidman or Jones?

Come on... The guy has two legit title defences.

Is this a real question?

So far Jones. More title defences, against the best in LHW division which was considered the toughest div until he wiped it out and dominated...and he often beats people at their own game. The only person to come close was Gus, but Jones dug deep and found a way to win. I don't much like the man but damn I love the fighter.

That said Weidman is not far behind and is a good man and great fighter. I think Weidman can overtake though, I don't see anyone beating him any time soon.

jones and not even close........and he was high as fu*k

Weidman has 3 legit title defenses. It isn't his fault Silva's leg couldn't take his low check. In round 1 he dropped Silva and won that easily. He had to beat the "invincible" Anderson Silva just to claim the title. That wasn't a title defense, but, nobody else had to beat the P4P #1 ranked guy in the sport at the time to become champion. Unless Conor does it next (and he will).

Jones has been around longer, this thread stinks.
You can't compare the two imo.

jones has more title defenses.

but jones has been in 2 or 3 closer fights than weidman has. weidman's hasn't had a close call or even highly competitive fight yet. maybe it changes with the next batch of guys.

Its Jones but Weidman isnt as far behind as people are acting.

Jones was in big danger during Vitors armbar and with the Gus dec.

Weidman hasnt been in that level of danger in his career. If he breezes through Rockhold and Jacare like he did the others, I will have him higher p4p.

Jones is the best P4P fighter and was even before Anderson f*cked up imo.

That's your opinion. When Weidman fought Anderson the first time Anderson was still ranked #1 P4P in the world. It wasn't until he finally lost (to Weidman) that Jones then became the #1 P4P.

Weidman is more dominant. He is the champ of his division and has the belt.

Jones needs to work towards getting the belt and obtaining the #1 spot in the division.

Weidman.

Jones nearly lost to Gustaffson. Weidman hasn't nearly lost to anyone, therefore more dominant.

Wham, Bam, thank you ma'am.

Jones has only fought smaller people except Gustafsson. How the fuck would you relate his p4p status to anyone else?

Well, first of, it's not like I'm the first one to express this opinion so you should not be that "how the fuck"-shocked. Jones has more significant wins in my opinion. Unbeaten.
Size determines p4p? So you're one of those guys... I see.
