I've never got the Cowboy Kebab appeal aside from Cowboy's slick BJJ game. Kebab would still rag doll him and could just work from the clinch if he wanted. Gaethje ain't no old man and has been on the most impressive tear that I can remember at lightweight. It is not just who he's beating, but the way he Is beating them. Ferguson has an impressive run but isn't Tyson body bagging them in seconds - TFerg dropped a round vs Cowboy and had the fight end on an illegal blow, where as Gaethje just instantly steam rolled him.
Cowboy at this point is no threat to anyone in the top 5. Even he knows that. Justin by far, but not far enough to beat the eagle.
Khabib needs to go through Furguson first ! Furguson is a dangerous matchup since he got a slick BJJ game. Gaethje would make a good match; better than Cerone I think.
