Chael is a lot more known and obviously cuts the best promo, but Gegard is in his physical prime, is a real 205-pounder and is 19-1 in his last 20 fights and is currently on a 5-fight win streak.
Both are pretty repugnant choices, but I'd have to go with Mousasi. At least he's recently fought at LHW.
No interest in either until Gegard gets a top 10 win. At least Sonnen will make a good TUF season. Gegard is more talented but Jones would smash either one of them
Easily Chael Sonnen. After all of these years in MMA I still think his sub defense is mediocre at best. I would throw every sub I know at him as 8 of his 12 losses are by submission alone.
Wait a sec, EGarrett, R U asking You who I, personally, would rather fight OR which of the those 2, I would rather see fight for the UFC LHW Championship?
Neither, I would love to see Anderson Silva or Daniel Cormier challenge Jon Jones for the LHW Championship next.
Neither. I'd like to see Cormier fight for the title if he can make the weight. Jones needs a challenge.
Gegard. He's not the best man for the job by any means right now, but at least he has been a champ in a major organization, and it was at the proper weight class. Sonnen hasn't been a champ, nor has he been a LHW in years. There are no reasons outside of marketing why Sonnen is getting a fight with Jones.
I would rather watch Mousasi eat lunch than watch Sonnen do anything. I'm one of the people who dislikes trash talk and resents that Sonnen had the title shot handed to him because of the way he vomits into a microphone. That said, it will be satisfying when Jones beats the crap out of him.
