Let's say they both win their upcoming fights and they get to fight. Who would be the betting favorite?
 
Broken body vs. broken chin.

Idk, the year 2005 wins?
 
right now, id go with vitor. machida in his prime, id go with cheeda

my money would have to be on Machida. I think even now Machida could eke out a UD against Belfort. I think Lyoto would prove to be too elusive for Vitor and I know for damn sure Machida will punish him if he rushes in. See Machida/Bader.
 
I'd say Machida wins against any Vitor that isn't TRTitor.
 
Well Vitor always ducks Machida and supposedly he got the better of Vitor in sparring. But things are different in a actual fight. Would love to see this fight
 
I would hope for Machida he's consumes all natural products unlike Vitor

Dunno. Seems like Machida struggles against southpaws and boxers. Would like to see it. Rooting for Machida but I think Vitor might be slight favorite.
 
Machida beats Vitor 8-9/10 times.

it's nearly impossible to blow Machida out in the 1st because of his speed and style. Vitor needs to blow you out in the first or he will submit in the deep waters.

Machida almost always takes his opponents into the later rounds with the exception to the Shogun rematch.

Vitor's style of fighting is not suited to beat Machida. Machida is a defensive counter puncher and Vitor is ultra aggressive. Machida wants you to rush him and Vitor will oblige him. Vitor can KO him though but I wouldn't bet on it. Machida UD.
