I really wish the fight would have happened. Would have been interesting. Three round Bendo vs Eddie would have been good.
 
This just reminds me how much of a tough path they wanted to give Eddie to the title shot.
 
That event feels like it was a decade ago.

Well he should have had to beat a couple in the top 5 to legitimately earn a shot considering how deep the division was/is. Even then he lost to Cerrone who is a wash compared to Bendo and then he had uninspiring wins over Gil and Pettis to earn a shot that he shouldn't have gotten (IMO). Glad he rose to the occasion and showed he was more than worthy.

Anyways I think Bendo would've won.
 
How tf was McGregor gonna headline over a UFC former champ vs Bellator current Champion fight?

I think it'd be a typical close Benson Henderson fight that we used to see a lot. Both well rounded fighters with good striking and wrestling and of a similar size. Alvarez has a higher chance of getting a finish. The judges seemed to favor Benson most of the time though. I'd favor Eddie slightly.
