Assuming he wins his WBA eliminator with Gonzalez next month, does Zurdo have what it takes to dethrone Bivol ?

I'll be interested in what those odds are, because I'm pretty sure this Canelo fight Bivol and his people are hoping for won't materialize before he has to make a mandatory defense two. I think it could be an even money fight or Bivol as a slight favorite. I like the work rate of Ramirez though. It will be interesting to see if Bivol takes a fight in the meantime I have heard that Ryder and Buatsi are in play.

    Bivol wins.

As for Buatsi, he was supposed to be fighting Vlasov next month but he got injured and has been replaced by Lee Mcgregor.

Meh. Buatsi vs Vlasov looked good on paper.

Bivol barely beat a 17-2 nobody last fight and people still hugging his nuts? He looks nothing special to me at all. Zurdo beats him easily.

I've seen you post in several different threads on several different topics. Not once was your opinion even close to being sensical. I'm very worried about your mental health.

He's extremely pro-David Benavidez (which is fine, i am too when he's not screwing himself) but he also shits on every boxer not named David Benavidez, and everyone who has a different view to his own is a casual. It's like he can't comprehend that people can have different views.

Cool story but do you have a counter argument to mine or is that the best you have?

Lets start off with the facts that support my initial claim, of Bivol struggling with an average fighter yet apparently around here is some killer. Whos the best fighter he has beaten?

    Nah just on overrated fighters.

Bivol wins a fight by (I'll be safe and assume 116-112) but shows flashes of real vulnerability to Zurdos' pressure.

I mean Bivol's best wins are Pascal and Smith Jr. imo. I would like to think that Zurdo brings more than either of those guys at the time Bivol fought them, but I would be happy to see Zurdo enter the fight as a moderate to big underdog for gaming reasons.

Wait, now Bivol is scheduled to face Umar Salamov on Dec. 11th in Russia?

I think bivol beats him but would be a good fight. Would rather see zurdo vs callum smith as a title eliminator. That’s a pickem imo

Would comfortably pick Bivol. Hell I would pick Bivol over Canelo, let alone Zurdo who hasn't beaten anyone yet.

The question is: will Canelo fight the winner?

A couple of years ago I would've said Bivol, but due to his inactivity and Zurdo looking like he's improving I think it's a toss up fight now.

Bivol SHOULD win. He isn't the convincing fighter I expected, nor has he made the career he should have (which might reflect the former thought). Zurdo has convinced me less. 70/30 in favour of Bivol

Yeah I never understand this train of thought. Bivol, like Usyk, does just enough to beat his opponent most of the time. They aren't gonna waste energy doing more than they need to, that's just how they fight. Love watching them do their thing.

    Efficient technicians.

Im pretty sure we need to take all the judges scores into account not just the outlier?

4 years ago when he was 20? Like you ignore the fact the great Jose Cotto badly rocked Canelo?

Oh ok, so when Bivol struggles to beat an average fighter, its simply because he chose to do so, not because he simply isn't that good! Thats beautiful. Can we apply that logic with every fighter who barely beats a bum or just your fav fighters?

    Honestly, should be about 50/50.
