I like watches. But I have nothing that would be good for the gym even though they may be "sports" watches. I dont see myself doing power cleans with a nice watch with a metal band. But perhaps one with a rubber band. Do you guys wear them or just no watch?

The timekeeper wears a watch at the gym and people that run on treadmills often do as well, unless they have an I-pod or some such.

Your gym doesn't have clocks? Or is this a fashion decision?

I couldn't imagine doing cleans with a watch on. I think it would be very uncomfortable/would throw my form off.

Not just to see the time. Ive done that with the cell. Its just that I like watches. Watches are for fashion for most. For fans of watches they are about your relationship with time.
Ive never lifted while wearing a watch but I have my eye on a couple of Tag Hueuer chronographs and I thought damn, it would be cool to keep track of time between DE sets with it. I like watches and it sounds weird but I just realized that I never wear one while doing what I like to do the most.

I just use my cell to keep time. It also has a stopwatch app that is tremendously useful. I can understand a man's need to be constantly flossin', but there are more practical methods.

Unless you're doing conditioning, and your watch is part of a HR monitor, or your timing laps or something, don't wear a watch at the gym.

Sounds like something that will just take your focus off training. Also there is a strong possibility that it would be damaged at the gym.

This. Why would you risk damaging a Tag if you don't need to?

I wear my everyday Casio G Shock. The clocks in my gym are often wrong and I need to keep track of my lunch hour. The G Shock is pretty tough so I don't have to worry about damaging it too much.

I never used to, because funnily enough, I would always end up looking at the time. Now I can't imagine not wearing one.

i wear a suunto watch with a heart rate monitor,. it helps tell you to stop before your heart explodes to pcs,.. :)

also helps you to push more as you wont achieve much if you dont reach that heart rate level (or zone)
