Growing up it was definitely spider-man. He's just got the right balance of powers and weaknesses that makes each of his stories compelling.

I want to say Thanos as my favorite villain but I get irritated just thinking about it cause the movie version is so far gone from the original character.

These two pages from the Marvel Christmas Special blew my damn mind. The setup is that when Thanos was raising Gamora he actually gave her a doll at Christmas to make her more loyal. Gamora's doll gets wrecked when she's saving Thanos' life, and he reminices about it years later:
