I'm rewatching them again and can't believe how bad Shamrock and Rampage were.

Shamrock - Brought in a bro science body builder instead of a BJJ coach, had a strong man lifting test to see who was the fighters he wanted for his team, he didn't seem to drill anything and he literally had too big of an ego to take any criticism aboit his training methods.

Rampage - Had no technical advice to give his fighters, didn't seem to care much, put more effort into insulting "Titties" than coaching his guys and he stormed off multiple times.

I think Rampage is a good coach he just didn't want to put the effort in, wheras I think Ken is just a bad coach all together.

Hard to choose between the two, but I'm voting Rampage.

IIRC, didn't he say on camera he was there just to promote his fight against Evans?

Ken wasn't the greatest. Jens Pulver was bad too.

Lawler would probably be good but I imagine he'd be screaming "MURDER HIM" or whatever when his team is fighting haha

Rampage is one of my favorites but yeah he was real bad. The only thing I remember from that season was him TKO'ing the door and calling that guy "titties"

If you actually watched the show you'd know he was quite a good coach.

TUF: Heavyweight was the very first TUF I ever watched and I was a Rashad hater at the time. Even then I thought Rampage coaching was absolutely terrible, but it was hilarious. Haa

Jens Pulver was brilliant. One of the best. He took a young team and really got them to work well as a team and made them better while BJ picked the more known talent and ruined them. Jens team hammered BJs team.

The worst was Ken. He didn't show up at times. He took them to play golf. He brought in that bogus bodybuilder. He had them watch his old fights as training. He really ruined the opportunity. Especially considering his reputation and training pedigree at the Lions Den.

    Didnt see
Didnt see any tuf post nelson-carwin i beleive, just like one or two episodes of like tuf latin America 2 and bj vs Edgar, tuf china episode 1 Before i was like wth is this shit lol.

Connor seemed to be shitty but dint see so can't comment.

Obviously shamrock and rampage were shit, but it didn't help them that their opposing coaches in Tito and Rashad where some of the best coaches ever.
I have to put Shane carwin on blast too because all season I don't remember hearing him ay one word...he was even training with his team, total meqthead coach(yeah supposedly he is an engenieer or something but jeez was it embarrassinghavjng such a big man not talkin, like having a monkey on set).
I'm gonna say carwin is the worst, even his team decided unanimously to skip practices
Shamrock and rampage get to share the silver turd

I thought Chuck and Matt Hughes were pretty useless too.

I'm not a big fan of Tito and never much cared for Koscheck, but overall they weren't bad as coaches.

Of the seasons I have watched, Ken was the worst. Rampage was a close second. I haven't kept up with TUF in a few years though.

Keep in mind we only get what the editors want us to see though.

Nobody even wanted to work with jens, they all wanted to be on BJ's team.
