Askren was the first I heard of Marty from Nebraska.

That would be Usman himself when he adopted the name back in school.

Askren called him Marty in passing; never even meant it as an insult. It was just the name he went by in wrestling, and Usman reacted very badly to the name, and now it's used as an insult.

Although Marty "Fakenewsman" is gold.
