my favorite throws with the gis being the ippon seio nage and the morote seio nages, the drop knee variations especially. I was wondering, in judo competitions, who has these throws as their specialty or are particularly good at them to watch for? I don't know much about judo competition circuit so I wouldn't know who does these well for me to really watch out for. Also, if anyone knows some good ones in bjj, please mention them. If anyone knows of them being done in competition completely standing, without the dropping to the knees, I think that would be awesome to see to as I feel those are harder to pull off.

There is a nice little book that cover only morote and ippon seio-nage by Hidetoshi Nakanishi. Koga does some amazing seoi's, although they are very much for judo compeition. Andre Galvao and Jacare have a few good seoi-nage throws in thier highlight videos. There is also that guy from brazil thats both a high level bjj and judo competitor, but I can't remember his name, i'm sure hes thrown a few people.

Calasans hit a really nice one at Mundials 2009.

Awesome links guys! I've been looking for some Judo throws to add to my BJJ game.

Saulo Ribeiro have a full section on seo in one of his DVDs revolution 2 take downs.

Another point is that ippon seoi otoshi (drop seoi) is not really good for competition, if you are doing ippon do it standing.
