    Her or the UFC?

UFC would have a new womens Champion that is completely unmarketable and practically unknown to anyone except hardcore fans.

The entire Division built on her seemingly would crumble.

The mystique of Ronda would be gone they could no longer promote her as this man killer/pro boxer destroyer.

    Meanwhile Ronda would lose

Movie Deals, Photo shoots, ESPN time, Talk shows Her belt giving her validation.
And her mom might disown her from the sounds of it.

Dana's face would be priceless putting the belt around Bethe.

Lol. This might be her easiest defense yet.

    Both the UFC and Ronda.

But then again, it will be a instant rematch

Canner McMario. If Bethe can beat Ronda while he admitted that Ronda would manhandle him, then he'd eternally be seen as a scrawny swagger-jacking midget basher (which he already is to me).

The UFC would win because the rematch would be the biggest WMMA fight ever.

No, i just reject the premise. I'm not a huge ronda fan, but this fight will last about 22 seconds.

    The UFC.

It would be like McGregor losing to Mendes 100x.

I would think Ronda. UFC gets some benefit from her superstardom, but in terms of actual paying customers having Ronda's fights be seen as potentially competitive would probably benefit them more, where she could be the best and a star, but also not untouchable.

Not necessarily. The rematch would be HUGE. Plus a lot of Ronda's marketability is her personality and attractiveness. GSP was a huge PPV draw after losing to Penn, Hughes, and Serra.

You realize fighters can still take another fight even if they lose right?

    Also, rematches sell.

    11/18/2006 UFC 65 Hughes v. GSP II 500,000
    12/30/2006 UFC 66 Liddell v. Ortiz II 1,050,000
    05/21/2007 UFC 71 Liddell v. Jackson II 675,000
    01/31/2009 UFC 94 GSP v. Penn II 920,000
    08/28/2010 UFC 118 Edgar vs. Penn 2 535,000
12/28/2013 UFC 168 Weidman vs Silva II 1,025,000

Ronda loses the most. There are ALWAYS new stars coming up and always someone else the UFC can promote. Remember when "The UFC can't survive without GSP/Silva". They seem to be doing about the same. Or "How will the UFC handle losing Bones". The UFC sadly is like a machine that churns out and gets rid of people when they don't need them. If Ronda goes on a losing streak they start promoting PVZ more, or focus on the 115 division. Nobody is irreplacable in any business.

Dana... he could possibly have a heart attack right there in the octagon when he is putting the belt around bethei or whatever her name is

perfect way for this fight to go is - ronda puts a beat on bethe for 3 rounds and then gets caught and is knocked out

Women's mma as a whole loses the most. Ronda's mainstream appeal is what brings in the casual fans to witness the "unstoppable force". It's also that mainstream appeal that allows women fighting to gain legitimacy. That all goes away with a loss.

She shouldn't get an instant rematch just because who she is, Tate has already been promised the next shot. Yes I know in the past people have been promised title shots and it hasn't happened. Rousey will win on Saturday anyway so it won't come to that.

the only way ronda loses is if she breaks her own arm throwing Bethe.

But yea if she lost it'd be a big hit to the UFC. However, her losing to Tate coming up is probably for the best. Ronda's probably only got a couple fights left so it'd be good for someone to get the rub of beating her to boost their stature.

It depends on how the loss happens.

If it goes Buster Douglas style (KO), then that brings her chin into question. If it goes more like Anderson vs Weidman 2 (broken leg on a checked kick), then it will be written off as a freak accident and there won't be nearly as much backlash.

In either scenario, the UFC does well especially if Rousey wins the rematch and continues on her rampage of destruction. Rousey may or may not come out of it with her reputation intact.

Now if it goes more like Werdum vs Cain or RDA vs Pettis (domination), then yah, Rousey and the UFC both take a major hit.
