Who should Werdum fight to secure his position as #1 contender?

With Stipe vs DC booked, Werdum is not gonna be able to just wait, I think he is gonna have to take another fight to secure his #1 position as a contender.

If Lewis beats Tybura, I´d like to see this fight: Werdum vs Lewis.

Any ideas?

Maybe even the rematch with Velasquez if he really comes back? that would be amazing.

It depends on hunt/Blaydes, a Blaydes win would make him great for a #1 fight vs Werdum.

If cain is ever available.

Volkov or (a winning) Lewis are options.

In the end they're all pretty exciting fights I'll watch and hopefully winning Werdum gets his shot.

Woodley sat out 18 months to get his shot. So, theoretically Werdum could do likewise.

If he has to fight somebody. Ngannou is the obvious choice. Or perhaps a re-match with Overeem. With Cain still being out. There aren’t too many options right now.

But, who fuckin knows what the UFC will do. It’s a supreme shit show, right now.

The Cain fight will not happen... Not saying it doesn't make sense because it does but the UFC realizes Stipe vs. Cain for the HW title is the biggest HW fight they can make. They will not want to risk Cain losing to Werdum to mess that up.
