Canelo could go knock out Biev and AJ back to back and some of you would still bitch and pretend he is running from someone.

Get a grip.

This is shit rhetoric. You can't pose an impossible hypothetical and then use it defend your guy.

When Canelo decisively beats a top in his prime fighter at his natural wight he will get credit, even from detractors like me.

Until then he's just a guy who a) was fighting much smaller WWs early in his career; b) was getting boxed up and getting controversial decisions by guys like Austin Trout and Lara; c) jumped up to MW and then threw away his belt rather than have to fight prime GGG; d) waited until GGG visibly slipped in his mid 30s and then still had to rely on a gift draw, e) cheated before a rematch and got busted; and now f) got the casuals excited by beating a clearly diminished and past it Kovalev (who had already been knocked out by a relatively unknown Alvarez a year earlier).

Which achievement exactly should Canelo be praised for? Clearly none of the above. Or is it knocking out WW chinny Khan? Beating up Chavez Jr who gave up being a professional years ago? Out boxing Jacobs who looked awful in his 3 fights after fighting GGG?
