On one hand ....you have George St Pierre an amazing wrestler
who defeated everyone easily mostly by out pointing his opponent.
Avenged all his losses while retiring with the
belt. Some can argue his competition in the WW division
was a lot better, although he never did move out of his
division to take on other challenges.

On the other hand ....Anderson Silva, although some may say
the division may not have offered the best opposition he
still finished nearly everyone he fought when GSP didn't (couldn't, wouldn't).
Silva made the impossible look possible and sometimes
easy. Not to mention highlight reel finishes. He also moved
up a weight class a few times because there were no more
opponents to destroy in his own division at the time.

Unfortunately the kicker here is that Anderson we all know
got busted for juicing. We dont know how long this was
going on for.

My honest opinion is that Anderson to me had a more
impressive title run. Simply because when you look back
years from now you will more so remember the destruction
Anderson Silva was known for as opposed to GSP being
known as a boring lay and pray points fighter. Regardless
winning is winning.

Both in my opinion, in their own ways

Both great runs.

Anderson gave some unbelievable moments in that title run however GSP looked unbeatable until the condit/Hendricks fight.

any champion who had a finish in their title reign had a more impressive title reign than GSP.

GSP, since he wasn't put in danger in most of his fights and went out on top as well. He was the more complete fighter for sure.

GSP fought overrated competition. Anderson has a better resume. Anderson was more impressive.

I respect them both so much and There wont be any Silva or GSP again

Georges St.Pierre had the slightly better run.

However Anderson Silva's will be more memorable..

I don't want to disrespect the achievements of Anderson, but I would say George.

I don't feel any need to compare the two guys
both dominant champs in their time

mma is young and we will see many more impressive athletes like these two

the thing about GSP that makes me like him more is the competition he faced

Koscheck, Penn, Shields, Condit are all way better wins than Forrest, Rich Franklin, Stephan Bonnar, etc

a nice brand new subject to discuss!

TS couldn't you just read the last 20 thousand threads made in the last 5 years for your answer?

GSP

With Andersen you knew you either had a spectacular fight or a boring one.

With GSP you know what you were getting. A dominant performance by him.

Gsp
He didn't lost a round from 2007to2012....
5yrs... 5!!

This being Sherdog, I'm surprised the answers aren't that they're both cans who crushed cans.

gsp wasn't flashy but he had the best resume and the most impressive wins
