It's gotta be Nick Nurse or Mike Budenholzer, right?

It's gotta be Nurse. He's leading this team to a better record than last year without Kawhi, and every starter missing multiple weeks, at different times. With a fully healthy team, they're 11-1.

No coach has ever won back to back, so buds out.

Nurse is on track to be a Champion, all star game coach, and COTY, in his first two seasons. After watching Dwayne Casey for years, it's a treat to see him coach. He's a savant. His in game adjustments, and lineups are bonkers.

    Honorable mention to Spo.

I wouldn't be upset if spo gets it. I think it depends on who, between the raps and heat finish higher

i think Nate McMillan should get some mention
31-19, 5th in the East, and w/o Oladipo for almost all those games......
second leading scorer is TJ Warren ffs

But Spo, Nurse, and Budz all are solid picks

Just saw this in the NBA thread:
So, yeah, it's obviously Nurse. No brainer.

Faps are 7-12 against .500 teams

Which brings up the question of how in the blue hell are they 50 games deep with only 19 games vs .500 teams

Think it has to do with the disappearing middle.

    19/50= 38.0%

Only 14 of 30 (46.7%) teams in the NBA are .500 or above, and without their recent wins OKC and MEM who are exactly that would make it 12/30 (40.0%). Only 6/15 (40.0%) are .500 or above in the East.

Alot of it had to do with timing of schedule and injuries. They played a tough stretch of great teams while missing Lowry, Siakam and Ibaka for three weeks. The 11 game win streak, comes when the team was fully healthy, but also on a huge stretch against shit teams.

By this logic any of the player awards should also go to someone on the team with the best record: chiefly the MVP & DPOY.

Nurse has the Raptors on a 14-game winning streak, currently, and 2nd in the East after the mighty Bucks: 3rd in the NBA. This despite that Kawhi, Valanciunus, and Danny Green all took off before the season, and also in spite of the fact none of their four best players-- VanVleet, Lowry, Siakam, and Ibaka-- have played more than 43 (of 53) games so far due to injury. In fact, nobody but OG Anoby & Terence Davis has played more than 45 games.

They're 1.5 games ahead of the Celtics, 4.5 games ahead of Miami, and 6.5+ games ahead of every other Eastern team. They're currently projected for a freaking 60-win season.

Unless things change it's Nurse by a nautical mile.

Bias aside, it's easily Nick Nurse and all the line up changes he's had to juggle due to a ridiculous amount of injuries to key players, and still has the Raptors sitting pretty.

This is the 9th straight season the raps have performed better than Vegas and ESPN predicted. Being a team in Canada means no American National games. There's gotta be some experts that see this may be the deepest team of all time..
