Who is your favourite Street Fighter II: World Warrior character

I haven't kept up with all the later versions of SFII. I was quite young when original SF2 came out. I always liked Blanka, even though he's not one of the strongest characters. He looks cool, I like his back story and is fast with good range. He is fun to play with. I know they balanced the characters out more in later versions.

Of the original characters Bison / Vega was obviously based on Mike Tyson,

Zangiev on the Soviet champion wrestler Zangiev

Also I believe Blanka's fierce cannonball is the fastest attack in the game.

favorite characters are Ken, Vega (claws), Balrog (boxer) in that order. I always learn how to play these characters and then another one or two new characters as my mains.

I idolized Ryu as a kid because I loved what he stood for. Being a combative athlete, it's easy to understand why.

Depending on how well Balrog is made in SFV, I will probably pick him up as a second. Sagat was always my favorite enemy.

Guile was ridiculously overpowered once you got to know his tics and tricks. His backbreaker is also joint most powerful move with the SPD.

Ken sucked he was just a weak version of Ryu. His moves were fast but Ryu did a lot more damage with his Dragon Punch.

Nice, Zangief is hard to master but a good Gief player is difficult to deal with.

Yup, that's why i learned those two! i think i really stopped playing street fighter 2 after super turbo, so i was delighted to know that a few years back when sf4 came out, i was able to use my old zangief combos and totally destroy a future ex -gf who was pretty damn good at sf4, having never played one minute of it before hand.
