Sean Connery by a long shot. Most all around Savage and Ladies man. Could never take Pierce Brosnan serious because he chokes on shrimp in Mrs. Doubtfire.

Probably Dr. No. Watching Spectre rn tho and it's pretty good.

Daniel Craig hands down. He was the only Bond whose ass I didn't think I could kick...

Prime Connery would kick your ass, drink your beer and fuck your woman.:D The Sean was a black belt in Kyokushin Karate, a nightclub bouncer and pimp-slapped Johnny Stompanato so hard when he pulled a gun on him that the Wise Guy had to run back to America in embarrassment.

My favourite quote about Connery comes from Cubby Broccoli. When Connery arrived to audition for Bond,

"He was so manly, I could almost hear his testicles clanging as he walked across the road.":)

On Her Majesty's Secret Service and For Your Eyes Only are my two favorites. Not sure about my favorite Bond actor at this time.

Even though Casino Royal is in my top 7 Bond films, Craig's turn as Bond has become rehashed Bourne movies that lack the 007 essence. Give me my higher class of villians with volcanic bases, henchmen with matching smart outfits, and actual fucking Bond gadgets, not the low brow shite we have today. I was pumped for the return of Spectre and Christoph Waltz but what a shitshow that turned out to be.

I really liked Casino Royal but I didn't much care for the other three he did. But after the absolute dogshit that was TND, TWINE, and DAD, I was so ready for a change.

Can't believe Brosnan made one excellent Bond film followed by three totally garbage ones. Pretty shitty luck if you ask me. I've also wondered what GoldenEye would have been like with Dalton as Bond, as it was originally meant to be.

Bond has to be so many things. A super smart investigator, a bad ass hand to hand fighter, a smooth talker and liar, a great driver, marksman shooter, a pimping ladies man... he's basically batman that will kill a mother fucker. And only Connery and maybe Dalton shows all of those traits.

Poll results for the first 111 posts are up on the original post. The top three right now are Casino Royale, Goldfinger and Goldeneye.

Dalton > *. His films were badass (Living Daylights being my favourite Bond film overall)

Wonder how much more epic the Sean Connery movies could be if he was in his prime now and they filmed them. With special effects and everything.

And after Connery had spent six months in the gym with a good personal trainer. Craig got mad props for the shape he got into for Casino Royal, and rightly so. But he's a Manlet compared to The Sean. If he'd got into the kind of shape he was in when he competed in Bodybuilding, every woman in the audience would spontaneously ovulate as soon as he took his shirt off:)

They would have been worse films, son.

You sound 12, if you think shit CGI a great movie makes.

Older films are more 'classic' cos screenwriters, directors, producers concentrated more on great storytelling, characterisation etc - stuff that actually makes great film - not computer game graphics.

Connery was in exactly the right era to make great Bond films the best they would have been for him.

Get educated, son.

My pick; they say your favourite is one you grew up watching. Indeed, I grew up watching Roger Moore, I love RM dearly and his Bond films are legit.

His first three - Let die, Golden gun and Who loved me are awesome. The spy who loved me is generally considered an all-time great. Personally, I have a soft spot for View to a kill.

Otherwise, Goldeneye is/was/will always be amazing. Martin Campbell can revamp a fucking Bond series (he did Casino Royale too).

Top 3 actor (no particular order)

Roger Moore
Sean Connery
Daniel Craig

Top 5 film (no particular order)

Goldeneye
The spy who loved me
From Russia with love
The man with the golden gun
Casino Royale

picking the top bond for me aint happening,i like em all. its easier to pick the best film they each did for mel,i shall ignore the david niven one, cause its comedy (but i do like it)
so for me its as follows, and in no particular order, other than who played him first.
sean connery, you only live twice. ninjas, space craft, volcano as a lair and little nelly, what more can you ask for.
george lazenby, ohmss, classed as some as the best bond film as it was closest to the source material.
roger moore, tough choice here, cause he did so many, but I've got to choose on so its the man with the golden gun. christopher lee as the bad guy, that car jump( went to school with the son of the guy that worked out the physics for it).
timothy dalton, licences to kill. benicio del toro and robert davi as the bad guys, and the women where my faves.
pierce brosnan, goldeneye. famke jansan squeezing people to death with her legs, yes indeed!
daniel craig, casino royale. skyfall gets all the love, but this for me is a far better film.

goat theme tune.

Connery then Craig. I never liked Dalton as Bond, but I might watch his movies again. I've developed a new-found appreciation for Timothy Dalton after watching him in Penny Dreadful.

Sean Connery, although Roger Moore was playing Bond when I first started watching (Live and Let Die being the first one I remember seeing as a child) but my favorite is probably Goldfinger.

Daniel Craig is 5'10''!? Would have guessed he wasn't over 5'8. But maybe that was just next to Bautista. HAHA. I agree. Sean was in great shape for the time, even for today but nowhere near is full potential.
