I'm watching Octopussy on StarzEncore and thought I'd put it to a vote on here. The last thread asking that question was in 2013 and the thread is no longer available. Let's make a 2016 poll and see what happens.

I was originally going to make a "What's your favorite Bond movie" poll but with only 15 options in the poll I'd have to leave some out and lump a bunch of unpopular ones together, which I didn't want to do.

Instead, we can do favorite Bonds. You can pick from Connery, Lazenby, Moore, Dalton, Brosnan, Craig, and Niven.

When voting, you can also post what your favorite Bond pick is, and if we get enough feedback I'll keep a tally in this post.

In case you didn't remember, here's the filmography of the various Bonds.

latest
Sean Connery:
Dr. No
From Russia with Love
Goldfinger
Thunderball
You Only Live Twice
Diamonds Are Forever
Never Say Never Again

latest
George Lazenby:
On Her Majesty's Secret Service

It is either Sean Connery or suck my dick.

Moore followed by Connery as a very close second.

I have Moore ahead because Live and Let Die is my favorite Bond film.

I actually have a CD of all the Bond themes up to Tomorrow Never Dies, I think. It was called The Best of Bond. I listened the hell out of that disk back when I was growing up.

Voted for Craig, he looks like a cold, controlled serial killer. And the action sequences in his films, while over the top, are fun.

Timothy Dalton, The Living Daylights.

Honorable mention to License to Kill, Thunderball, From Russia With Love, Golden Eye and Casino Royale.

Sean Connery followed by Timothy Dalton. Only seen the newer Casino Royale as far as Craig's films go so I don't rate him. Second place could change upon their viewing.

From Russia with Love is my favorite.

It's kind of a crime to say anything against Shirley Bassey but "Tomorrow Never Dies" might be my favorite Bond theme.

I think Live and Let Die takes that top spot for me, thanks to Sir Paul.

Not even 20 posts in and I know it's gonna be lopsided towards Craig because most Sherdoggers were little kids when GoldenEye came out and the other Brosnan films are average. Connery is probably gonna do well he's fucking Sean Connery.

Not to act holier-than-thou though, I voted for Craig. I don't think the Bond films have aged particularly well and Cassino Royale was fucking amazing. Also, Dalton is an underrated pick.

It took me a full 90 minutes to figure out which Bond I would pick. I ended up picking the Bond that made the most number of my favorite Bonds. That was Moore, with Spy Who Loved Me, and Live and Let Die. Connery had From Russia With Love, my all time favorite, and my fringe top 5 Diamonds are Forever.

It's hard not to love Craig, he's done a phenomenal job. Casino Royale was spectacular, Quantum was the weak one, Skyfall was a different Bond that anyone would have expected, part spy flick and part western, and Spectre was exactly what you expect when you think of the term "Bond Movie".

Also, there is no real "wrong" selection here. I can make a good argument for most of the Bonds, but Roger Moore stands above thanks to his Bond film library.

But if you preferred Lazenby, you may need give a good explanation, and if you preferred Niven, you're probably trolling the poll but I put the option up so that's on me.

I grew up watching Timothy Dalton's as James Bond in the cinemas, so he is my default James Bond. He brought that raw physicality that the others lacked...until Craig came along of course.
