    For me it's Fedor Emelianenko.
Reason being he doesn't have the best striking nor the best jits. But he finds a way to win..... and he is always fighting guys much larger than him. He did this consistently against top competition for 10 years.

JBJ is none of those. He is gifted with his frame and fights smaller guys.
I will say JBJ is probably the fighter with the best fight IQ. But the only way for him to surpass fedor in my eyes is if he holds belts in at least 2 divisions. Maybe 3. I mean hey, he said it wasn't a challenge to drop down to 205, so maybe 185 is possible.

If that's your reason, that's some pretty stupid logic.

And Fedor had some of the best striking in MMA. Please name one fight where Fedor was clearly out struck on the feet? Not to mention he had a massive background in Sambo.

On paper, CC was a better striker than Fedor.
    Fedor was outstrucked by Arlovski.

No Fedors "ability to find a way to win" is too unfair

You missed the part where i said Fedor always finds a way to win.
AA was winning the round on points and then we all know what happened.

On paper? How so? As far as MMA striking went, Fedor always proved to be the superior striker. Stop trying to discredit Fedor's skillset. It was as elite as it came.

And he was hardly "outstrucked" by Arlovski. Fedor rolled with the majority of the shots in that fight. And then he KO'd Arlovski in the first round.

...except for that one punch. (which seems to happen to Arlovski a lot)

Are you saying Fedor has better striking than prime crocop??
'cos he fought crocop during his prime.

I think you missed the part where you typed "outstrucked" as if it was a word. What is that? Double past tense?

And he out struck Cro Cop for the portions of the fight that were on the feet. Cro Cop got some good shots in no doubt, but I mean FFS, that fight is famous for Fedor out striking Cro Cop during their exchanges.

So, remind me why Cro Cop is a better MMA striker than Fedor?

Hey if you're concentrating on minor details like that it only means i won the argument. What's next, you gonna start calling me names 'cos you have nothing left to add to the discussion?

So Fedor wins because he isn't tall? Jones is only 6'4, he isn't some giant.

That is about the stupidest thing I've ever seen on Sherdog and I have seen plenty.

Since nobody has actually ever done 3 weight classes and only two guys ever have done 2 what you're basically saying is no matter how many guys Jones beats or how much better his competition is you won't give him the nod.

I personally have Anderson Silva as the GOAT though I consider Fedor a completely legit alternative option.

Jones is within 2 defense of Silva's title defense streak and is doing so against better competition. If he can win 1 more I'd consider it a tie and if Jones can win 2 more then I'd give him the nod.
