This is about the most exciting, not necessarily the best.

There's a lot of great grapplers I couldn't fit in because the poll only allows 10 options, so I took the 10 I feel will probably have the most votes.

If you like someone else better choose please specify in a post, but it has to be a top guy, we already know you like your instructor best

and you have to pick 1

Jacare! Hands down, no competition whatsoever.

/thread

Jacare - mad explosive take downs and fast submission..
Marcello Garcia - I love the X-guard and I'm just fascinated by someone who is small as he is, wrecking much larger opponents.
Shinay Aoki - watch him roll. the guy takes a lot of chance and is fun to watch.
Barret Yoshida - in his prime, what a fun guy to watch.
Leo Vieria - smooth and fast

there are more.. those guys just popped in my head

I like Sobral, he's not as technical as some of the other guys mentioned, but he's got great TD's and aggressive sub's.
There aren't too many guys in MMA who are better at getting the fight to the ground and then finishing it there.

Craig Fallon.

I like watching Marcelo. He's so quick and agile. Watching Marcelo Garcia reminds us all that proper technique can beat size. His match against Ricco Rodriguez is awesome.

Jacare's explosiveness is fun to watch also.

genki or aoki, just exciting guys to watch... especially genki, if the brazilian jiu jitsu motto is position > submission the shoot fighting motto must be submission > submission :D

I voted for Marcelo, but on second thought, my write-in choice is Kyra.

is this for people still grappling??? i like the vidss of terere...too bad i wasnt around the scene then to watch him in person

Is the pole intended for MMA or just sub grappling?

If sub graplling, i'll go with jacare, if mma i'll vote aoki and throw an honorable mention for imanari.

Ricco Rodriguez

No, but what about Galvao and Wilson Reis. Straight up excitement, they both are pretty high.

Galvao, Terere, leozhino, Rani Yahya, Rumino Sato, and BJ Penn were just a few of the grapplers I really wanted on their, but couldn't put up because of the 10 option limit I didn't know about :(

I didn't put terere because he hasn't really made his comeback yet and who knows if he's still the same guy.

I cut Leozhino and Rani because I didn't want to have too many choices from the same weight class... it's not fair to the bigger guys, lol

I cut Rumino Sato because I thought he'd just steal votes from the more popular Aoki.

I cut BJ Penn because I didn't want to turn this into an MMA thread

I really have no idea how I forgot Andre Galvao or Wilson Reis, there's no reason either shouldn't be up there instead of someone like Roger.

I probably should have put Rhadi Ferguson up too for the big guys and Judo fans.

I voted for Genki. He's the whole reason I even started doing BJJ in the first place. if it wasn't for him I'd probably be a pure boxer with some TMA on the side :icon_neut
