Okay first the question was Who started it in ufc. The winner is Dan Severn.

What about post zuffa?

Well, Quadros coined the term during the Fujita vs Yvel fight in PRIDE, so I guess it would be Kaz Fujita.

I thought Mark Coleman was the established godfather of gnp

Interesting. Isnt he the guy who almost koed Fedor?

Royce Gracie, first fight, layed on the guy till the end of the fight.

Fedor.

Watch his fight with Semmy Shcilt.

Edit: well if we're just limiting it to the UFC then probably Severn, but what was going on way back then can hardly be considered the same sport.

Simple question. Who mastered the art of lnp first in the UFC?

My guess will be Ken Shamrock or Dan Severn. Both of them used a bit of it but remained decently active. When they got a little older, they came to rely on it.

sanae kikuta lay on top of renzo gracie for like an hour doing nothing if memory serves... i'm sure there are plenty of earlier examples but most of the gracie fights in the early few pride events were unimaginably boring

Fedor.

You just never stop trolling. Dan Severn was the king of it, and it was a different time where it made more sense. You had unlimited time and you were just trying to grind the guy out until you could find a true advantage.
