Lets say fights were strictly one round. Who would be the GOAT? Just a regular five minute round.

My nominees in no particular order:

Khabib - has he ever lost the opening round except for maybe against Tibau?

Prime Fedor - bulldozes through everyone

DC - always opens strong in the opening rounds

GSP - didnt lose a round for how many years?

Honorable mentions:

Chad Mendes
Jose Aldo
Conor
TRT Vitor
Uberreem

The answer is in my AV. :)
If fights were one round, Fedor still would be winning them by stoppage all through his career. Who in the list has more Rd 1 finishes than Fedor? Even today he’s finishing fools in round 1. If fights were always one round his record would be the same up until Werdum, aside from Arona maybe. That’s pretty impressive.

Romero if it's round 3
Trtor gotta be up there
BJ
Ubereem
Rumble

Marlon Moraes is almost always a beast in Round 1 and mediocre at best after.

Carwin is up there because of his wins.

BJ Penn. Even when he got sad, he still looked fine for the first round. Won round 1 against Fitch. Out boxed and BJJ'd Nick Diaz in the first round of their fight.

Depends how you're measuring it.

There's plenty of guys who can go full blanket for a hard five minutes.

If you're talking about most exciting or would go for the kill like a madman in only 5 minutes that's a different conversation.

Romero would probably be GOAT if the fight only lasted 5 minutes.
