Meaning which fighter derailed a huge money train of the UFC and then didn't do anything with their own career. I'll start with some examples:

Cain - beats Brock, then fades into injuryville the rest of his career.
Gall - beats Super Sage and CM. Hasn't done anything since.
Diaz - derails the biggest name in UFC then fights him again and hasn't done anything since.
Holy - kicks RR's head off and hasn't been winning since
Weidman - beats the Silva twice and was never really able to carry the torch at mw
Jones - self destruction of greatness

Fucking Clay Guida. Derailed a lot of promising fighters early in their careers. Then just danced around like a crackhead in the octagon and started getting KTFO.

As much as I love him, Machida.

Killed the hype of David Heath (then 9-0), Sokoudjou (Ngannou level hype), Thiago Silva (then 13-0), Rashad (then 13-0) but his 1st defense was controversial (though I do think he won) and he started losing after the Rua KO.

I blame Joe Rogan - he jinxed the Machida Era.

I agree with all except Weidman. He defended the belt 3 times, and is still competitive.

No joke in a sense you could make the arguement for Conor. Beat one of the all time goats, got beat by nate Diaz off the couch, was gifted the rematch win due to the UFC obviously wanting him to win. Then abandoned his division to go up to lw and hasn't fought since. He caused a mess and discredited a goat.

Same kind of thing with garbandt. Beat a goat, then proceeds to get ktfo after talking trash. And now Cruz isn't really very relevant.

Jones - self destruction of greatness
Cheaters can never be great. Jones wouldn't be a great fighter without steroids otherwise he wouldn't have taken them. He knows he's not good enough so he cheats

Pretty much any dominant champion. Some divisions like LW or MW may not have one just yet, due to huge crowd in the upper echelon

How about Conor?
He took 2 belts and defended neither.
We all wanted to see him vs Tony, Khabib and many other top fighters but he never delivered.
