To win.

If I recall correctly; Da Silva doesn't have the strongest of takedowns and with Saki being a former heavyweight, he should be quite a lot stronger. I don't know if he is still with the blackzillians for this camp, but he needs to train with wrestlers that will test him.

With Da Silva getting shut down in 25 seconds by Cutelaba, I can see Saki doing the same thing if he is not too nervous.

Da Silva is a good test, but he looks like he is made to get knocked out by Saki seeing as he has lost 3 of his last 4.

I think he should win. This is a bit of a "gimme fight" for him.

Hopefully, he has been training wrestling and jits.

Saki by KO early in the first, the man is a monster. His striking arsenal is relentless.
WAR SAKI

there is no one who can beat him standing ( incl. HW )

have no idea about his grapling and what he did for it. I just saw some pics, him together with Gus and Latifi.
hope he does well and we will able to see another beast for a few years

WAR GOKHAN

Da Silva sends him back to kickboxing..

Too inexperienced..imo

He is my countryman so root him for sure but with no wrestling/BJJ background UFC octagon is one of the most dangerous places in the world, its like they put you a cage with lions...

Yea I wondering the same. Saki has no MMA experience, unless you count being 0-1 experience. He's a brutal striker but Henrique da Silva is a competent fighter at 12-3 with 11 KO's. The problem with da Silva is that all he has to do to win is hit a takedown. He almost guaranteed won't do it though and it will probably spell his demise. This is more an indictment against da Silva than it is praise for Gokhan Saki.

I guess in the end I have to take Saki because Henrique will be too proud to change up his striking game and try to get it to the mat.

i do like saki bcs of his heart and warrior spirit, but lets be honest he started his transition to mma too late, i expect him to get couple of KOs down the road but any elite fighter will take him down and finish him. please dont mention HWs in grappling 10kg are a lot bigger problem. saki is not even a big MW with his build in ufc, compared to weidman and rockhold

I am aware that he did made the transition very late and I would never mention that he will have chances in MMA rules against HW's.
my point was just stand up fight. Saki used to fight bigger guys and mainly he KO's them

I'm taking Luis to win, to be quite honest.

He's a smart fighter, will probably shoot for a takedown in the very first second of the fight.
He'd probably wear a Gi if he was allowed to, lol.

Don't get your hopes too high, Saki may end up sleeping on the canvas.
